Nagyrév, Hungary. Where silence holds a century of stories. Inside the village's Reformed church, time seems to move at a different pace. The wooden pews, the pale light through the windows, the stillness of a place that has witnessed generations of ordinary lives and extraordinary events. I have returned to Nagyrév to continue a documentary project that is becoming increasingly fascinating, and far more complex than I first imagined. Some places reveal their stories immediately. Others ask you to listen, to look more carefully, and to spend time understanding what lies beneath the surface. Nagyrév is one of those places. For now, I am listening, researching, photographing, and slowly putting the pieces together.
